"There is no such a thing in America as an independent press, unless it is out in country towns. You are all slaves. You know it, and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to express an honest opinion. If you expressed it, you would know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid $150 for keeping honest opinions out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for doing similar things. If I should allow honest opinions to be printed in one issue of my paper, I would be like Othello before twenty-four hours: my occupation would be gone. The man who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the street hunting for another job. The business of a New York journalist is to distort the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to villify, to fawn at the feet of Mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread, or for what is about the same — his salary. You know this, and I know it; and what foolery to be toasting an "Independent Press"! We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are jumping-jacks. They pull the string and we dance. Our time, our talents, our lives, our possibilities, are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes."

I would generalise that to the whole world actually. Easy to see it anywhere

It's wrong when both do it... the difference is police are supposedly getting paid to 'keep the peace' and have the backing of government to do so. (Then we learn they hire agent provocateurs to create problems at peaceful protests.)The hypocrisy is in the comparison: when unpaid terrorists do what they say, there's some honesty there.

And the difference is that

1. nobody is bothering or threatening the "terrorists" whilst cops usually use lethal force not as initiation of violence but as a response against criminals who threaten them or other people.

2. terrorists are killing innocent citizens and bystanders, there should be zero tolerance towards this. Cops have to deal with murderers, rapists, gangbangers and thugs..

Since when pacifist demonstrators are considered to be criminal? Don't we have the right to demonstrate? We're talking about this specific case

Pacifist demonstrators..that made me smile. You forget you are talking to someone whos been there for years, demonstrations and riots with antifa and the "peacefull" anarchists and i saw their true faces. Most of them are thugs, hooligans, criminals and outcasts. Only a small portion of them are normal people, who have no idea what they are doing, just like i was.

As for the cops murdering demonstrators i am not aware, so we should ask a real cop. Here

Wtf... what kind of demonstrations have you been to?????

I'm talking about my own experience and about certain Spanish demonstrations happening a couple years ago cause those are the ones I know to be peaceful and not full of drug addicts nor anarchists. I swear! XD

Woah, no wait! I didn't say murder but excessive use of force and dirty schemes to discredit the demonstration:

Oh, I've also forgotten about certain groups of policemen infiltrating in peaceful demonstrations with the sole purpose of starting violence that would validate the use of police force as a response. It has happened several times before here in Spain, yet no one from the government has ever done anything about it, they rather ignore it as well. And I'm quite sure that is no individual mistake cause when "actual" policemen ever catch these kind of guys in the demonstrations, they show a distinctive low level of violence towards them.

That's all

I dont really disagree with you on this one, the reason i posted was to state that the same thing applies to muslims and the responsibility all the muslim community and leadership has.

I am actually aware of troublemakers paid by the state to create chaos in demonstrations. Its actually been proven with photos here in Greece, guys with masks throwing molotovs and then going to the police and hang out with them. The funny thing is that it all depends to the government in power, these things happened under right wing government, when lefties came in power they did the opposite, they paid thugs and slav immigrants to crash patriotic demonstrations (not fascist ones) and beat up the peacefull demonstrators with the protection of police. Its shady.

damn, I can't believe my eyes... you nearly agreed on something with me yeah, ofc, leaders always have some sort of responsability and in the muslim case not all leaders support terrorism though

omg.... yeah, that certainly is shady and fucking sad....
