I find it disgusting how much free stuff people can get in jail. I get the whole rehabilitating them back into society thing, but so many other people are more deserving of it and they don't need a second chance from society.

Defeats the purpose. Tax money (usual government income) should go on schools and hospitals, building roads, bridges and tunnels, airports and seaports.

Some free law-abiding citizens live worse than that, not fair.

Turkish prisons are notorious, i've heard. Simple cell 3x4, bunks with no mattresses and a toilet without seat. Probably not humane, but efficient as it deter citizens from commiting a crime.

Actually they won't. Sweden as part of European Union and other European and International treaties accept convicts from other countries and vice versa. Swedish prisons are full with Yugoslav generals, extremists, war criminals and islamic terrorists.

You would be surprized and amazed how tough humans are, especially the bad ones, some of them behave like animals. That jail is really like a hotel suite free of charge.

They probably even have computers, internet and video games, maybe even playing multiplayer games, you would never guess. Their life is probably no different than from some extremely active atwar player. Or does extremely active atwarians leave their homes once in a while?

If a game is around long enough, people will find the most efficient way to play it and start playing it like robots

People with healthy mind value their freedom and would rather not get into what you call hotel even if they don't have anything outside or are mentally strong.
