Https://atwar-game.com//forum/topic.php?topic_id=39373 Already made a topic 2 years ago, you can check it above, and now Covert Ops new strat gave me idea; How about you leave Relentless Attack as it is, but add Tank General like you did Covert Ops for marines? You gave -2 attack and +3 defence to marines, so how about you make Tank General change tanks to; -2 attack +2 defence -1 range -20 cost Here's the reason; make tanks tactically balanced, tanks are armored beasts, their sheer size and weight is designed for the sole reason to protect infantry while giving them firepower advantage with its big gun. For some reason, stock tanks have 7 range, unlike infantry's 6 range, so new TG can remove 1 range point. Also less attack and more defence to make them balanced in stats, now tanks become tactical, not support anymore. The barrel gives them more firepower, hence tanks still have better attack then infantry in-game, fuel consumption actually makes them slower than infantry in real life, but 5 range would break the unit, 6 is perfect, and 6 armor points is decent, while leaving 4 to stock tanks without strategy. The armor blocks and narrows down the viewrange of the crew, so maybe it requires -2 viewrange as hidden stat, but ignore this for now. Of course this defence buff is not enough to defend infantry alone like in real life, but it is enough to use tanks independently of infantry support in-game. Which is what tank general is all about. From hidden stats, i guess logical way would be to give tanks +1 attack vs tanks, -1 defence vs militia (molotov ambush?), and maybe +1 defence vs infantry (5.56 still can't penetrate 700mm ceramic armor, even with uranium-grade bullets). Thus making Guerilla Warfare something like counter to TG. I think it is time to buff the tanks and make them what they really are, slow battle machines, with armor.

That's a nice idea but I don't think a 100 cost unit with 6 atk 6 def 6 range(nice 666) will work it's too weak maybe for 80/90 cost it can work. Also PD will rape this strat

Maybe in eu war, but i was thinking about all wars playable in game, taking in consideration historical and fantasy maps, where you have 20-50 units, and not only 1 is ground; main attack, but few in some cases. So maybe in some maps TG will seems weak, yet in some op, that's why we must count on all wars and not just one when we talk about stats, because stat in one game wont work the same in other game.

I started with conservative numbers, but thinking about what Froyer said, about PD and cost(i think 80 is too low), how about? -2 attack +3 defene +2 hit points -1 range -20 cost Or -2 attack +4 defense -20 cost

Yes I would like a strat where I still get attack while not having to worry about getting tb'd bcuz I have the defense to defense against tanks. I'm not sure which one if the better option.

31.01.2021 - 03:54 Infantry in regular armies have good anti-tank weapons, not all of them are equipped with 5.56 rifles so I count an Infantry unit as a Division. So it has all those anti-tank, artillery, motorized and support battalions.

This cut bothways: if you count infantry unit as division, then you must also count tank unit as tank division - with all its tank support gear, salvage vehicles, repair tools, anti-armor rounds, anti-personnel rounds, high explosive rounds, smoke screen etc. Tank armor(immediate tank defense) is very well developed today: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Composite_armour https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kontakt-5 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shtora-1 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reactive_armour#Explosive_reactive_armour https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vidasil https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trophy_(countermeasure) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arena_(countermeasure) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Active_protection_system
