Desktop Client Causes CPU To Spike

My computer has been having issues when it comes to the AtWar desktop client. Whenever I click on a city and select the Move Units button, my second CPU core spikes at around 100% and my fan goes nuts. (I will add graphics, a video, and computer information later). I can replicate when I go to split up units with 100% accuracy.
