I recently came across an interesting web novel titled "Daybreak on Hyperion" (originally just "Daybreak"). It is a fantasy story set in a fantasy world, about a mage prodigy who, instead of summoning an animal familiar as is the convention, decided to twist the summoning ritual and instead summon an intelligent cute girl as his companion because he was tired of the stupidity of people around him. Unfortunately the spell went awry and instead of summoning an intelligent girl, the spell instead created the body of a girl and then just kidnapped the soul of the first random intelligent person it found in the multiverse... which happened to be a 19-year-old guy from Earth... and stuffed his soul into the body instead. Now I know what you're thinking: Some kind of degenerate Japanese fanservice-ridden harem light novel crap, right? Well, wrong. The story is actually a very serious, objective and rational look on how such a scenario would play out, free of both obnoxious SJW feminist revenge fantasies and conservative sexist nonsense about women. And it doesn't stop there. It actually takes an objective look at what would happen should an earth-like world possessed magic, with all the sociological, military and such changes that it would bring about (well, this kicks off more in volume 2, but still). It is overall very "realistic", in a true sense of realism, I've far too often ran into people writing "realistic" fiction which is actually just giving all characters a grey morality. By contrast, this story actually feels real. This, combined with excellent writing and language skills by the author, has lead me to actually bothering to advertise it to atWar, a degenerate wasteland of retardedation and assholism (that includes myself), because I genuinely think it's one of the best things I've ever read. Extra points for all history nerds because it has many historical references. The story can be found here (I'm too noob to know how to make links in atWar so just copy-paste the url I guess): https://krytykal.org/daybreak/
