"There is no such a thing in America as an independent press, unless it is out in country towns. You are all slaves. You know it, and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to express an honest opinion. If you expressed it, you would know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid $150 for keeping honest opinions out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for doing similar things. If I should allow honest opinions to be printed in one issue of my paper, I would be like Othello before twenty-four hours: my occupation would be gone. The man who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the street hunting for another job. The business of a New York journalist is to distort the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to villify, to fawn at the feet of Mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread, or for what is about the same — his salary. You know this, and I know it; and what foolery to be toasting an "Independent Press"! We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are jumping-jacks. They pull the string and we dance. Our time, our talents, our lives, our possibilities, are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes."

I would generalise that to the whole world actually. Easy to see it anywhere

YouTube is owned by Google. Independent business owners usually have to take out loans on startup which then they owe interest to bank. Even if they don't need to you still have to pay inappropriate extortion fees for existing in a country. Also known as taxation .

Not in Greece you don't...

Yup, in a certain way those are working for the 1% since they are the ones paying for the creation of this content, under their constant supervision. You should also notice its name, entertainment. Entertainment from what? From ourselves, from our thoughts, from our lives. I'm not saying we don't need some from time to time, but there's a massive offer out there, truly overwhelming, which discourages us from doing anything else besides consuming that entertainment. You know the old roman proverb, right? "Panem et circenses", or "bread and circus". Keep them entertained and they won't riot against you. Exactly what government keep trying to prevent, people movilising against them cause they've gained conciousness of their own lack of free will. We're here to study predetermined jobs, work to keep the 1% rich and then die basically.

Yeah, internet is a freaking awsome tool and has made a difference for us. But specially for those in charge as well since they can now supervise us even deeper and much more carefully. All information in the internet is sold and comecialised, even if we do not notice and helps to mantain the 1% where it is. Also remember how internet has become the new media and helps to spread agendas and most if not all media around here is also controled by those with money.

They do not control everything but they do control our obligations, rights, etc. Is there anything else in life to control?

Not all entertainment is paid for by the 1%, plenty of minor developers make their own games, series etc. and release them, often for free. What about the word entertainment? Entertainment means being entertained which in turn means enjoying yourself. There is much to be offered out there but still I often find myself bored since I can't find anything that fits my interests. The fact that our jobs are predetermined is not because the elite force it to be so but because society is structured in such a manner that it needs some certain things to be done and thus needs certain people to do them. The internet was a TERRIBLE thing for the wealthy elite. People abandoned television and the radio, where only certain channels could be observed, and were thrown into a realm where anyone can say anything. They are trying to control it but it's simply uncontrollable. As for rights, no, they do not control our rights. If they did, you can be guaranteed we'd have MUCH less rights. There'd be no minimum wage, no pension etc.

"I care not for who makes the countries laws as long as i control its money" - Mayer Amschel Bauer Rothschild

The bankers control the distribution of wealth they even create the paper notes that tell you what your time and skills are worth. They own you from the very top.

They absolutely control your rights. True 'rights' can't be taken away from you... so we might not even be talking about the same thing. You might mean privileges...

But let's use the term 'rights'. Does a government have the 'right' to kill it's own citizens... of course they do... they do it all the time, and sometimes even to people who haven't done anything wrong. So right away, you don't have the right to life... it can be taken from you, with essentially no consequence to the government. (Sure, if they do it accidentally, they might give your family some money to placate them - that money is created by the bankers anyway.)

Apparently we have the 'right' to associate with anyone we want... talk to the millions of parents out there that can't see their own children, or if they can, must do it according to a court order (government controlled) which dictates when and where, and under what circumstances. Governments aren't stupid... the few in charge aren't going to run across the country side and violate everyone's rights just to make people mad. If they piss everyone off, then they might actually do something.

But when you actually test any right you think you have, you will find it is not a right. Your government can violate it with impunity, and they probably are already doing so to a minority of the population. So you can't say you have a right, by either standard. (You can say 'the government says i have a right' which is true - but saying something doesn't make it true.

Again, entertainment inherently involves something from which you're being entertained. Also, you will probably ever find anything that is out of the general rule since it is most owned by the same macrobusiness.
Something you forgot to add is that society is structured in this way cause the elite wanted it to be like that.
Was terrible at the begining due to the possibities it had, however they gained control over it quickly enough... I wouldn't say it's uncontrollable. I'm pretty sure you use Google, a really huge business that controls every single link you can find in its searcher. We've changed radio stations for Google, so much for that.
Oh god, you're naive aren't you? What rights do you have? And which of those are they really respecting? The moment you go to sleep, you might find yourself with none of those. If they act like they want to respect them is because if enough people gets mad, they know revolution will come. We have number advantage after all.

Not the concept of money, it is not a terrible idea not ideal but sufficient, the issue is bankers creating debt by creating income from loans. Then using that income to push there agendas. Which there ultimate goal is an easily controlled work force with no free thought or characteristics to distinguish themselves. Therefore having a population that generates there wealth and does there bidding without retaliation. If they decide that there is to many people and want to kill some off they want us to bow our heads and pray it's not our turn. Then go right back to creating profit. That is where society is heading. That is why I'm so adamant in stopping them. I don't blame you zeph we are being minipulated. From the time your born they are using humanities communal nature to influence you. You see your parents doing something socially accepted so you do it to. Then you got to school and make friends and you see them doing something so you do it to. You then get programed to believe what is acceptable, some people are capable of waking up from the bullshit others die happy fools. I for one can not close my eyes again I'm stuck seeing this for what it is and my hope is enough people do to and we find a way to create a better version of reality then this.

A little example, is what you said. "Google is a search engine and can find you anything. Google can't block anything in its search. Even if it could it would require such enormous resources to drown each and every website that doesn't fit them." Where did you hear google can't block information? They cut you off from 93% of the internet, they have blocked 1.3 billion websites. They just lobbied the United states government to allow them to sell our search histories to corporations. That is just a single example of you being in the dark, wake up zeph, the world needs you to.

>93%

So 93% of the internet is made for people who don't use google, meaning, less than 1% of internet users. Fuck logic. Well then, what lies in this 93% of the internet, oh holy prophet Hellraiser?

I never claimed that bankers are love and bankers are life, I hate them too and consider the current debt system cancer, and I also accept that they'd love to have a buynch of ignorant sheep do their bidding. My parents and friends' behaviour (with which I rarely ever conform, actually) is shaped by centuries of human tradition and not some elite that have been established for 200 years at the evry worst. As I said, even if Google could block websites, they wouldn't be able to track down every website that doesn't fit them and close it down.

Who said money was bad or evil? It is the use we are giving it that is inherently evil and allows central banks to control legislation and politics all over the world...
Entertainment wouldn't be a problem if it didn't entertain us from going outside to complain about the world.
Most jobs are created by and for the elite. Ofc they've structured it this way. They've developed in the way they wanted them to. Every moment in history has had its elites and right now these elites are people that control money. The only exception to this rule are public services and public workers, such as firefighters as you stated, since they are paid with our money.

You can find some things if you go deep enough into google... and I'm sure you're not going to search all the way into page number 100 when you're looking for news. And without google you're not gonna get that link you're looking for that easily. Don't you know how google's algorithm works? Btw, have you ever heard about the deep web? It is composed of most of the internet webs yet no searcher will ever show it to you.... you need to inform yourself better, that's my suggestion. Also, the deep web involves 96% of the internet

They are "respecting" our self-earned rights for now. Just don't get too comfortable or all the fight our ancestors had to suffer will be vanished and lost. You should remember that they didnt give us our rights peacefully and willingly.

Because I can't bother to quote both of you and delete all unrelated material, the deep web consists mostly of sites that don't want to be on a search engine rather than blocked by anyone, and is not nessecarily anything shady. The profile of another player in atWar, for example, is part of the deep web, because if you could get to it through web search you could mess around with it without the other person's consent. They even keep stats on the killings in the public - i'm not saying the 'death penalty' is the only way to exercise that right. Whether a police shooting is accidental or not, it is a summary execution, and they have the 'right' to discharge their firearms, thereby removing any 'citizens' right to life, and providing evidence for the claim that government maintains the right to kill their own people.

Police shootings are very rare occasions and only happen during a major crisis, in Europe atleast. The choice of whether to shoot or not is also up to the individual policeman, not any kind of jury.

I appreciate this is the general public perception. However, as there are no remedies for these shooting, and many 'innocent' people are now being reported due to cell phones and CCTV, it doesn't take away the message : the government reserves the right to kill it's own citizens. (That they do it on a small scale 'very rare occasions' is irrelevant.. the point is they do it, and have a legal process to ensure those doing the killing aren't held to account, so it's not 'accidental' - these procedures and protocols are specific and well thought out.)

And that is only the public killings by police officers ... the operations of secret services and police is far more disturbing.

Private servers, sites whose file formats google cannot handle, dynamic pages, many things really. And no, deep web sites are sites whose creators don't want search engines to find. Even an atWar game is part of the deep web: you can't just google it and directly enter it like that. Most deep web sites can indirectly be reached throug a google search. The deep web is not this criminal underground structure people think of it to be (although criminal websites are a part of it since they avoid easily being accessed), it's a more technical issue.

Major crisis? More like major protests against governments.... cause money is all that matters

Police shootings happen only when the target is armed and obviously hostile. Not against the common protester. Unless you're in Turkey or something, that is.

The evidence speaks otherwise. Again, this is the belief most have. No one wants to think it but: police shoot unarmed or non-threatening people. It happens, and sometimes they even make headline news when a 'civilian' records it on their phone.

That's the fault of the indidivual policeman fucking up.

And of the state for not making that policeman responsible for his acts but instead hiding or ignoring the problem, thus supporting the problem.

The state can't regulate each and every policeman ever. Cases of random peaceful protesters being shot are EXTREMELY rare.

Offcourse when random police officers use unjustified lethal force, its obviously the fault of the whole police department and the whole government. But when random muslims commit terrorist acts... its only the minority dont be racist!

Who said regulate? I mean like judge that policeman in a court. Something even more extremely rare to happen after a policeman commits such things

Again understanding whatever you wanted to understand sir? I never said that but thanks for being such a great paranoid, it obviously makes me get through the day and sleep comfortable..... (sarcasm)

THE WHOLE DEPARTMENT HAS NO GUILT BUT THE GOVERNMENT HAS THE RESPONSABILITY TO TAKE THE POLICEMAN WHO DID SUCH ACT TO THE COURT

Watch a few videos - there's quite a collection now - and from different countries.... police are highly trained, and you can see - they all follow the same basic pattern. It's like they received 'training in fucking up' because it is consistent and the escalation goes in steps. Though you excuse them from making an error, also watch the response of their fellow officers. Notice that in the 'real' screw ups where they don't follow the protocol, officers do intervene (like the beating of that homeless man in New York). But in most of the others, the supporting officers just casually observe.

These do not look like the actions of (extensively trained) individuals who have a level of respect for life that you do.

Oh, I've also forgotten about certain groups of policemen infiltrating in peaceful demonstrations with the sole purpose of starting violence that would validate the use of police force as a response. It has happened several times before here in Spain, yet no one from the government has ever done anything about it, they rather ignore it as well. And I'm quite sure that is no individual mistake cause when "actual" policemen ever catch these kind of guys in the demonstrations, they show a distinctive low level of violence towards them.

It's wrong when both do it... the difference is police are supposedly getting paid to 'keep the peace' and have the backing of government to do so. (Then we learn they hire agent provocateurs to create problems at peaceful protests.)The hypocrisy is in the comparison: when unpaid terrorists do what they say, there's some honesty there.
