If one turn in atwar equals one week in time, why place a limit on unit move range in map editor?

PD infantry with Faster Ground Main Defence upgrade has a movement range of 6 and can move from Berlin Germany to Vienna Austria in one turn. This is a distance of approximately 360 miles which means they would have to walk 51.42 mile per day to make the journey in one week.

A NC transport takes 11 turns (11 weeks) to make the 5500 mile trip from Shanghai to Los Angeles which normally takes 2-3 weeks for a ship at 15 knots.

I understand putting a limit on units attack, defence, critical and hit points but a units movement range is affected by the size of the map and should not be limited! (and be more realistic)

You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inert, so hopelessly dependent on the system that they will fight to protect it.

Good point! Don't really understand it either.
Changes have been proposed to remove the stat limits in the editor in general, but Amok kept blocking that idea. Maybe this will finally change with the new admin?

Cost of units is unrealistic also:

atWar Destroyer costs 250 but they cost $1.85 Billion in real life.
atWar Air Trans costs 600 but they cost $218 Million in real life.
atWar Submarine costs 200 but new US sub cost $128 BILLION

This is a game and they are not suppose to be 100% based on real life, nowhere does it state that it is game income/units country borders are suppose to mirror real life.

This forum post is also in the incorrect section. Map makers are also free to set whatever unit stats they would like.
