Today is a special date to remember one of the worst crimes against democracy that ever happened in the world.

September 11 of 1973: the first socialist president of latin american, Salvador Allende, from Chile, democratically elected by his people, was brutally murdered by an operation supported by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) from US government.

The operation resulted in the power takeover from the army dictator Augusto Pinochet, who lead Chile to 17 ages of political persecution, with more than 3 thousand people deads, 30 thousand tortured and 80 thousand 'interned'.



This was the first sign of years of oppresion in latin america with USA support, called Condor Operation .



"I have faith in Chile and its destiny. Other men will overcome this gray and bitter moment when treason seeks to prevail. Keep in mind that, sooner rather than later, the great avenues will open again and free men will walk through them to construct a better society. Long live Chile! Long live the people! Long live the workers!"

Allende's final words in the national radio broadcast.

Anyway, even if the 'official version' (obviously made by the dictatorship who take control) was right, that doesn't change all the other facts involved in the chilean coup d'etat.

So because our government did something bad we are responsible? Just because I live on American land doesn't mean I caused the Iraq war.

It wasn't meant to be fun, but on the other side it has nothing offensive on it.

I'm sorry, but the last image is iconic and world spread. It's an obvious critic on how the 'other september 11' tends to be exalted every year as if USA was the victim of the world, when the real history is very different.

I guess it's time for americans to start to look at their own country problems and accept negative facts, or else they have no right to talk about anything related with other countries, such as Iraq, Syria, Afghenistan, Lybia, Cuba, Venezuela, Uganda, etc.

9/11 is supposed to be a day for remembering the innocent lives lost that day. If you want to discuss the actions our government does I have no problem with that but there are 364 other days in the year. Some people lost everything in 9/11. I hope you understand that they don't want to be discussing such things as the Iraq War on this day.

I already said that may they all R.I.P, none can argue that it was a catastrophe and act of terrorism that affected not only innocent american lives but the whole world, but seems you have no valid argument here.
