Tik, we've had these discussions for years. I joined a clan for it being a scenario/mapmaking clan, not a political one. I will complain for making my viewpoint known (a viewpoint you and EVERYONE has known for years) and now I am kicked. I didn't waste your time by not responding because there is no point in it- we have reached the climax of this debate months ago. I will not change your opinio, you will not change mine. I have never forced my opinion on you and would have expected you not to force it upon me. The only reason I received for being kicked out of the clan was for not being politically correct according to your or other members viewpoints. I joined because I knew you, Aetius, and Pyrrhus as people I played scenario games with in WWII and Legacy of Rome. I joined because I thought I was being apart of a group of friends whom I could then discuss openly my views with. I have said these same views months ago with no problem. So yes, I will "whine" about the hypocrisy I am seeing from a group I thought was against political correctness. I will complain about one day being a part of a clan playing games on at war and the second I make a comment on forums I am immediately crucified. Any rebuttal I would offer for your point of view would immediately be called zionist or western propaganda. There Is no point in me researching my opinion when the end result will be no change in the status quo. I understand you're passionate, but never would have thought you or Aetius to excommunicate me for a single viewpoint.

And those that surrendered died in Soviet gulags or were purposely starved to death in US camps. The 'to the death' order was made because they knew these men would die regardless.

Yeah, to their own demise which Hitler warned them about. No one could have predicted how brutal Dwight "The Dutch Jew" Eisenhower would be to the German prisoners. They killed between 600,000 to a million German POW's. They starved them in camps. German POW's were killed to ensure the occupation of Germany, which remains to this very day, would succeed.

...this is mainly Germany's fault. Before WWII, the Second Polish Republic was being extremely stubborn. Stalin would never, ever have convinced the Polish authorities to let them invade Germany from Polish soil. In fact, Polish authorities were seriously considering a defense pact with Germany against the Soviets (although that idea got thrown out in the end). If Stalin tried to just invade through Poland, well... let's just say that the Polish military was solid, compared to the Soviet one. Especially so, since Britain/France would be backing Poland's defenses like the last time.

The only reason why a Soviet invasion of Germany was even thinkable was because the Second Republic didn't exist as a buffer anymore.

The Nazis gave the United Kingdom many opportunities to reach a treaty and terms of surrender with nothing to lose on the English side, but no avail was ever reached.

Defense of Poland is a solid casus belli. In fact, even if it wasn't, Britain had an excellent reason to declare war on Germany starting March 14, 1939. Threats must be contained. Why do you think coalitions always form against strong nations?

It's the same defense of Poland. The United Kingdom declared war on Germany with the intention of securing an independent Polish government much like the Second Republic. A Soviet puppet state was not, to Churchill, an acceptable state of affairs in Poland.

let's just say that the Polish military was solid, compared to the Soviet one.

Poland had better officers and generals, but USSR had more technology, like tanks, rocket artillery, planes, submarines. USSR had bad officers because they were promoted by the party who promoted loyalty and not skill & experience.

So Polish Army had officer quality and not-quality army and low numbers, Red Army had low-grade officers, quality army and large numbers (every soviet performed 3 years service and 30 years reserve).

Which mean Polish Army could pull good strategy and tactics, making good plans and coordinated manouvers, Red Army couldnt do it, but once Red Army soldiers clash with Polish, they get stronger because of strength, numbers and better technology.

Polish Army would have good performance and low casualties but Red Army would be victorious with high casualties.

The only way to beat Red Army over and over again is to use surprise and speed (to outmanouver them). Because Red Army used 'Deep operation battle', that was strategy created by USSR generals, it is basically just different name for Blitzkrieg. So their defense was weak because they position to attack only, not defend or retreat. Of course i am talking for Europe only as that wouldnt work on USSR soil because even if Moscow fall, you cant go further into Russia because your lines of supplies will stretch thin and you wont have food and munition to fight.

No they werent. they were bankers, lawyers, business owners, lobyists and politicians. stalin withdrew troops because he knew his army was not ready to fight yet,he was trying to delay the war till 1942 atleast,when ussr would have the upper hand.by withdrawing he wanted to tell germany he wont fight but hitler saw through his plan.
