So wait... If a player wins some competition or tournament, then rather than giving them the trophy they have the option to buy it with Sp or protos?

To make clear and to other people who have posted similar feedback, ideally we would have some kind of endorsement from a sponsor as part of a wider deal with atWar - (this is work in progress and is only an idea), covering the cost of the trophy and maybe other prizes related to the sponsor. Otherwise, if a tournament host wanted to design trophies related to a particular tournament, this would also be possible and the winner would have the choice of buying a trophy - remember atWar is relatively small and wouldn't be able to handle the production and shipping costs without recouping the monies - whilst also providing more ways for players to spend PCs and support the game too . Sorry for not making this clearer in my original post!

Only problem with this is getting a sponsor and I dont see what would be in it for them.... unless this Is going down the route of having like AW conventions and live streamed tourneys like they do for stuff like CoD and League of Legends... which i like the sound of but is wayyyy ambitious given the scale of AW, as you stated.

I still don't think it sounds practical but you seem to have a bigger idea in your head of what this is about, and I'm not clued in on that, so i dont want to knock it. If you think it can work and have a clear vision in your head of where this is going, you should just take a punt on it and whether it works or not atleast you would have actually done something to further the game which would be really refreshing.

In a poker game, usually there a lot of people that buy in at a certain price. The tournament holder can make money if their are more people that signed up then upfront cost of the trophy.

Just imagine:
10 people signed up for the tournament and pay 250 protcoins.
That $20, might be enough to get a trophy and deliver it the winner.

30 people signed up, then, atwar made $40.
