Not everybody does it....

tophat was widely recognized as the best player all around and he never felt in the need of bragging about it on forums. In fact when he tweaked the strategies he considered everybody's argument regardless if it was a newcomer or a "top" player....

I love the implication that i didn't do any of these things. Almost all of the changes applied since i took the helm on strategy developement can be traced to suggestion threads and posts from the community. Some even came from your posts like the recent heli change for example. Even if you disagree with some of the changes you cannot deny the overall net positive effect of them on the meta. I made every strat bar ra and hw competitive. Even hw which i personally think should be deleted was boosted by me using suggestions from the community so that those who like it can play it.

So how is it fair for you to say something like this? You don't have to agree but don't insult me like this especially when it is not remotely true. Only a handful of players have thanked me for the changes. Many more like you and phoenix lambast and insult me publicly on the regular even years after the changes. And you wonder why i get mad and make posts like to phoenix above. Phoenix is literally treating me like a mindless moron who makes changes on personal whims. What gives him the right to do that? Like i said, i think me and you have a lot in common and could be friends. But you need to stop this.

You're also putting tophats on a pedestal. He was a great guy and a great player. But he argued with people. Nobody is perfect and i certainly don't claim to be either.

I was just trying to grab up some examples of players that achieved a great success (tophat, chess) or that didn't, but are know by the community for their deep game knowledge (Desu,Cthulhu). I believe that their feats remains with us even now.

Yes perhaps some players have achieved some sort of success more recent (prometheus?, opi?) but they've still got a long path. Opi is now #3 player by ELO but 30 elo far from tophat, while Prom's record is 4 duels away from tophat's longest win steak. Lao's one tournament badge below Chess's record but managed to beat him in the PvE. Still below Klevis.

I myself haven't found anyone more knowledgeable than Cthulhu, and I believe that many of the things that Desu knew are being re-discovered nowadays. I myself don't know how deep his knowledge is/was. We're just being to employ the tactics that were common for Cthulhu/Desu.

If there are newer examples that I haven't noticed then graz to them. To me, theses four which I originally named set some path to seek.

My experience tells me that whenever someone disagrees with you, you immediately disqualify him. As I said in other threads, suddenly Ivan knows nothing about the game, Chess's experience is outdated and I'm trolling as always. This is us who supposedly had a say in your considerations.

This is not about being right or wrong, just look how you're disqualifying Phoenix in this thread as well. I'm just saying that even if he was the best player in this game, you would still find your way to disqualify him just because he doesn't agrees with you. I can agree that he wasn't so nice in his arguments, but as the top player that you are or claim to be, you should set up an example to follow.

Again this is unfair. You misquote me in order to to justify your image of me. I did not say this. I said Ivan knows nothing about the meta. He himself has stated this. He has also said he and amok are bad players. He has a sense of the game but he leaves the finer details to the players.

Chess's experience is outdated

It is. He has not played actively since late 2014/early 2015 pre imp boost and when sky menace was king of ukraines. All i know is no matter what strat ukraine takes(other than the current ds) i feel my turk has a fair shot at beating it. Chess also lost to me in the first master of the east tournament back in 2014 when he was at his peak. I agree ukraine is more versatile than turk. But better? No. It surprises me that considering how much your turk improved you agree with him.

This is your own fault. You cannot troll, flame in one thread and then try to be logical and respectable in another. You developed a reputation clovis and gained the nickname "trollvis" for a reason. You cannot deny this. It is also why you got skipped over in the mod selection process despite your considerable contributions to the game. Theres a desu quote from 2014, ill add it since you surprisingly seem to respect him.

I think it's been long figured out that trying to have a discussion with Clovis is pretty pointless. He's almost universally wrong on every subject but he still manages to ignore your statement and continue arguing long after he's been proven wrong. I sometimes wonder why I read his posts still. It's a very deep and philosophical question.

You seem to be making an effort these days but you cannot dismiss your past. It is unfair for you to imply i am arrogantly dismissing your posts merely because you disagree. Not with how you have behaved.

No. I asked phoenix not to spam the ds thread and he responded with 6 notifications over the next few days with insults and responses such as "fuck you lao". A mod had to clean it up. Phoenix has demonstrated himself to be no better than pavle. I have every right to disqualify him. And look to my sig quote. It is not my job to set an example to anyone. I'm just playing a game. He is a grown adult and should know better than to behave like this.

In the middle of the quote Lao decides to quote desu's post from 2014. XXAXAAXXA
