Every time I put a line, other army can easly break.

Usually lines are made by 1 units points, and people attack me with like 12 or more units.

Can a 1----1----1 line "hold" a strong army?

Thank u all :)

It doesn't matter how many units you use to make a line. All it takes is a single enemy unit to break it. It will always be broken in a single turn.

The idea of a line(minimum 1+1+etc is to hold enemy units for a turn)
what confounds me more is when lines are intact yet city is taken !

Then you created your walls after the enemy captured your city in that (same) turn.... movements are based on sequence of orders.
