Majority vote to:

1) kick a player - this noob was losing, and he was admin so he changed turn time to 12 mins (and game was set to capture all cities), to avoid losing and force ally win. If the rest of us could have voted him out, we would.

2) change turn time - alternatively, we could have voted to change to 3 min turns.

allow any player to initiative a vote? (and maybe limit each player to 1 vote initiation per game or something to prevent abuse?)

Yes, ultimately, we will make all settings changes by voting, so it won't really matter who the game admin is. Which is very reasonable, IMO.
Actually, we planned this feature from the beginning, just never had the time to implement it.

Kicking a player should still only work for inactive players, even with votes.

Yes, well before settings were changed at will by admins who were losing. Seems there is no great solution, but the way it is now is the lesser of two evils.

Perhaps you should be required to vote before continuing your turn?

That gets annoying if people propose changes every turn (then do we need a limit on how often one can do that?). Another possibility is to require only a majority of those who voted (and at least 2 players), but not a majority of those players in the game.

I say you just give less power to admins. Should be vote. It's to easy to abuse the powers.

I foresee this being abused every now and then. Some one will call some friends in to late join to vote out whoever it is that is beating him. It wouldn't be common but I see it happening at least a couple times.

This doesn't really say anything, it's just a space filler while I try to come up with a better signature.

Yep, that's the reason it went to a vote in the first place.

yah but there should also be a vote to kick system. I went into a game and the admin kicked me for not letting him win.

That's impossible. Admin can only kick if you are idle for 3 weeks straight, or at the country selection stage.

It was the country selection stage <__<. He said let me win or I'll kick you. I said no, he kicked.
